Premier League questions: Will Mohamed Salah deliver? Who will stay up? Can Arsenal win away?

ลิ้ ง sbo What questions will be answered on the final weekend of the Premier League season?. Liverpool and Chelsea are competing for the final top-four spot while Southampton and Swansea are battling to the stay in the top-flight, with three games live on Sky Sports. We take a look at key questions for each final-day fixture...

Will Salah find final spark? (Liverpool v Brighton, Sunday 3pm, live on Sky Sports Premier League)
Barring a huge Chelsea win at Newcastle, a point is all that Liverpool need on the final day of the season to make sure of a top-four finish. On this season's form, that should be a formality. Liverpool have not lost at Anfield in the Premier League this season and Brighton, who are safe from relegation, have only won twice away from home. However, the Reds have stuttered lately as they have won just one of their last five games in all competitions. They also came close to losing their last home match as Stoke spurned a late chance. ลิ้ ง sbo

Will Rafa ruin Chelsea's chances? (Newcastle v Chelsea, Sunday 3pm, live on Sky Sports Premier League)
This time five years ago Rafa Benitez was preparing Chelsea for a Europa League final against Benfica. The Blues won the match 2-1 and finished third in the Premier League to cap a successful interim spell in charge for Benitez. But Benitez was never fully accepted by Chelsea supporters and this weekend he will be trying to dent his former side's chances of getting into the top four. Chelsea did their cause no favours by drawing with Huddersfield in midweek and they need to win at St James' Park to have any chance of leapfrogging Liverpool.

Will Saints hold firm? (Southampton v Manchester City, Sunday 3pm, live on Sky Sports Premier League)
The celebrations at the final whistle told the story. Southampton's crucial victory over Swansea on Tuesday should be enough to see them stay in the Premier League. They are three points ahead of their relegation rivals and have a plus-nine superior goal difference, which in effect is 10 as they have also scored 10 more goals than Swansea. However, Saints manager Mark Hughes did call for some caution after the win. "There is a little bit of a cushion but we are playing Man City and we have to be careful. If there is one team in this league who has the capability of scoring a lot of goals, it's Man City." ลิ้ ง sbo

Ex-Manchester United man hits out at Jack Wilshere after Arsenal midfielder's World Cup omission

maxbet Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has claimed that Gareth Southgate made the right call by leaving Jack Wilshere out of England's World Cup squad. The midfielder's potential inclusion in the 23-man squad was a major talking point last month ahead of the announcement, with the Three Lions boss electing to leave the 26-year-old at home instead of taking him to Russia.

The player wasn't happy about his missing out on the squad, especially after performing well for Arsenal following a terrible run of injuries. However, despite his form at the Emirates, Ferdinand feels that Wilshere doesn't offer England enough and the correct decision was made."I didn’t disagree with the midfield choices he took. He can count on all the others physically.

"I don’t think there’s an argument."He hasn’t played enough football and hasn’t influenced enough games in the way that those guys have over a sustained period of time."I’ve been there with teams where we’ve had players coming in a little bit unfit and it does leave uncertainty in a squad."Even with Wayne Rooney, Becks in 2002, it can destabilise a squad. However small it is it does spread.

maxbet "If you’re going to play him in an attacking midfield role he doesn’t add up to someone like Dele [Alli], someone like Jesse [Lingard], in terms of getting goals and assists or making things happen in the final third. His stats can’t live with them."Jack has got great talent, don’t get me wrong.

"But if he’s an attacking midfielder in today’s game he’s got to be nicking 10, 15 goals a season and likewise with assists. He doesn’t get those numbers."Is he going to play a holding role? That’s where I’d have played him but has he done that enough? "Is he experienced in that position? Has he done that more effectively than Henderson this season? I wouldn’t say so. [Eric] Dier does it effectively for Spurs." maxbet
